Ranked by recent Shopify-verified work first (a merchant review in the last 12 months), then Shopify partner tier, then review count. "Best for" says which job each one suits.
Moving from Shopware, JTL or plentymarkets
Six agencies on this list show a Shopware move in their own work: Codext (Sportnahrung Wehle), Falkeconsulting (Lorinser and Espressomeisterei), Labrigart (BÄR Schuhe and Dreams4Kids), NICCOS (Gusti Leder), Marvya (PEAK) and we-site (KAFFEERAUM).
For JTL, merconic moved Vegavero off JTL Shop, and Falkeconsulting names JTL among the systems it moves stores from. If JTL stays behind the shop as your back office, Acceleratiq and NICCOS both connect it to Shopify. For plentymarkets, NICCOS shows a three-month move to Shopify Plus that kept plentymarkets as the product database, and Marvya’s Shopify profile features a plentymarkets move as well.
Whichever team you pick, ask how it keeps your old links and search rankings through the move. Codext puts a 90-day guarantee on its redirects; Dominik-Lukas Moral Falke says he moves products, customers, orders and a redirect for every old link, and runs each migration himself.
Selling on Shopify from Germany
Four German laws shape how you build a store and how you run a sale. Hand this list to whichever agency you hire and ask how it handles each one:
- VAT. The standard Umsatzsteuer rate is 19%; a reduced 7% covers the goods and services listed in the law (UStG § 12).
- Impressum. A commercial online shop must keep its provider details, the Impressum, easy to find, directly reachable and always available (§ 5 DDG).
- Returns window. Consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, the Widerrufsfrist (BGB § 355).
- Sale prices. Every announced price reduction has to state the lowest total price you charged in the 30 days before it (§ 11 PAngV). Check your price history before you show a discount price on product pages, and again before a sitewide sale.
- Shipping labels. Shopify Shipping sells labels through Shopify’s carrier accounts for fulfilment locations in Germany (Shopify Help Center).
- Partners to choose from. 225 Shopify partners list Germany as their main location: 7 Platinum, 7 Premier and 66 Plus.
Also checked. Our count of 30 splits into 17 agencies that passed our checks and 13 that fell short. We read all six other Platinum partners. Tante-E and Latori have no Shopify review newer than 2019, and ABxpert, Eshop Guide and tomorrow have none on their profiles; none of the five showed dated client work from 2025 or 2026 on the pages we read. The sixth, Domaine DACH in Berlin, passed; its featured work includes the Hertha BSC shop, live on Shopify. So did 4TFM in Berlin (79 Shopify reviews), 3oneseven in Munich (115 reviews, a partner since 2013), shoplab near Munich and TZN Digital Ventures in Munich, whose newest review is from July 2026. For these five we have their Shopify profiles and, for four of them, live client stores, but no case page that says what they built, so they sit outside the twelve until we can read one.
How we picked and checked
Our team started from 30 agencies that build on Shopify with an office in Germany, found through the Shopify Partner Directory, apps' partner lists and the agencies' own sites. An agency made the list only if Shopify is its core work and it shipped client work in 2025 or 2026.
For every agency on the list we checked:
- its Shopify partner profile: tier, reviews and partner date;
- its own site, wherever it let us in, and its listings on app partner directories;
- up to three client stores it shows as its work. "Live on Shopify" means the store loads and its pages run on Shopify's storefront. "Fast on mobile" means it passes Core Web Vitals on phones in Google's real-user data (Chrome UX Report); no stamp means too little Google data or not passing yet.
The order follows one rule: agencies with a Shopify review from the last 12 months come first, because they are clearly still shipping work; then Shopify partner tier (Platinum, then Premier, Plus and Select); then how many reviews each has; then the share of its showcased stores live on Shopify. "Best for" says where each one is strongest, so a lower-ranked agency can still be the right pick for your project.
Shashwat is a developer and the founder of DiscountOS. He has built Shopify stores and Shopify apps and has worked alongside Shopify agencies on client builds, and he writes our guides to how Shopify discounts work and our research on Shopify agencies. The research behind this page was done by hand by the DiscountOS team, and Shashwat checked and signed the ranking. "Weigh first" is the point we would raise with each agency before signing, from the same research. Every fact carries the date we checked it.
No agency paid to be here, and no listing depends on a link back. DiscountOS is a Shopify app, not an agency, so we have no one of our own to rank.
